WELCOME BACK TO OUR SPARKLING KINDERGARTEN. Thank you to the following parents who spent time scrubbing, sorting and sweeping at the end of last term. Thank you to Lauren (Ruby), Ashleigh (Matthew), Amber (Louis), Juanita (Joel), Veronica (Ava), Whitney (Farrah), Kylie (Jemma), Renae (Sienna), Sascha & Tim (Hugo), Rodelyn (Adriell), Eboni (Jhye), Leon & Holly (James), Jane (Sylvie), Amber (Dusty), Hayley (Jensen), Carolyn & Tristan (Isla). We really appreciate the time you all spent during the term as well as at the end completing odd jobs making the kindergarten a great place to work and play in.
ALSO WELCOME BACK TO KINDY SHARON WHITE, ECW, WHO HAS BEEN ON LEAVE. Thank you
Sue Konitzka for filling Sharon’s shoes during Term 1.
AT THE END OF LAST TERM YOUR CHILDREN were engaged in lots of pretend play; fishing, dinosaurs, cars and fairies. They were extending their creativity and imagination while practicing their co-operation, collaborating and negotiation skills. HAVE A LOOK AT THE CURRICULUM BOARD IN THE KITCHEN TO SEE WHAT ELSE WE HAVE BEEN LEARNING WHILE WE HAVE BEEN PLAYING.
THANK YOU TO THE FAMILIES WHO HAVE ALREADY JOINED US FOR A CHAT TO SHARE THEIR CHILD’S PORTFOLIO. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks everyone will have had a chance to talk with us and take home their child’s portfolio for them to share with their family. If you would like to initiate another ‘formal’ conversation about your child’s learning don’t hesitate to speak to a staff member to organise a time.
LITERACY KITS ARE READY FOR MORE BORROWING. Please remember to fill in the borrowing card when taking and returning the kit. Please place returned kit in the labelled basket next to the Literacy Kit rack – so that they can be checked, washed and repaired if needed. If you have any ideas for new kits or would like to create a new one please let us know.
THANK YOU FOR PAYING YOUR FEES. If you forgot, please do so now.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO STAY AND PLAY you know you are more than welcome any time. If you have any skills or talents you would like to share – again you are very welcome.
WANTED! Small offcuts of soft wood are needed – (not permapine). A lot is needed for your children to get creative and use their problem-solving skills at the woodwork bench.
WE HAVE ENJOYED THE SUNNY, WARM DAYS BUT THE WEATHER WILL CHANGE and I’m sure with the cooler days the coughs and snot will arrive. Please let us know if your child is unwell – a quick phone call to
