Our core staff team this year is made of 3 full time staff. During week 1 & 2 each term DECD requests a data collection of numbers of children attending. Our attendance figures for this year have not been the expected 95% and our warranted staff for 2017 has been cut to 2.5 thus reducing the number of children who can attend Bishop Kindergarten from 60 down to 55 next year.
THANK YOU TO Ngari (Nixon), Sophie (Lenny), Carolyn (Keanu) and Conrad (Layla) who assisted with end of term clean up tasks. Thank you to those who planned to come in on Thursday and Friday but couldn’t due to the power outage. Luckily Bec (Bryson), and Sharon’s daughter Jodie popped in with their children and while their children played they worked hard alongside staff members to wash away the grime.
THANK YOU TO THE FAMILIES who returned their parent survey. All your comments were anonymous as
Ros Walker was employed to open the envelopes and put your answers onto the computer programme set up by DECD. Once the statistic department has analysed your answers they will be returned to us to direct us in setting improvements for 2017. If you haven’t yet returned your form but would like to you are very welcome.
Our 4th year university student Hayley has completed her placement with us and we are lucky to have Ellie Rusden with us for 4 weeks as a 2nd year uni student on a placement.
LET’S ENJOY THE NEXT 9 WEEKS OF LEARNING. There will be celebration teas in week 8 – more information to follow.
DON’T FORGET YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO SPEND TIME WITH YOUR CHILDREN AT KINDERGARTEN AND EVERYONE IS ALWAYS WELCOME TO ATTEND OUR GOVERNING COUNCIL MEETINGS.
SCHOOL TRANSITIONS start this term. Children come to kindy after their school visit AS LONG AS IT IS THEIR DAY TO COME TO KINDY.
